9 months old

Maddie had her 9 month checkup on Friday. Her report card:
Weight - 18 lbs 2 oz (50th percentile)
Height - 29 1/4 inches (90th percentile)
Head - can't remember exact (50th percentile)
Maddie's world at 9 months is like this...
She eats everything. A new weekend favorite is mini-pancakes and cinnamon french toast sticks for breakfast.
She's a cruiser when she crawls. She pulls herself up on everything. She walks along the couch & coffee table and behind the toys that she pushes. On Sunday she stood on her own without holding anything for about 2 seconds before falling down. We're going to practice that some more this week.
She's using her "pa" syllable a lot lately. I'm thinking puppy might be her first word. Haven't heard the "da" syllable in forever and she only uses the "ma" syllable when she's eating and I think its because she's either trying to say "more" or "mmmmm".
She is very ticklish, loves to laugh. She loves "thrill" games - like being thrown up in the air, being swung back & forth, driving wildly in her stroller or grocery cart (thanks daddy), being pretend dropped. I think she is going to love roller coasters when she's bigger.
The best part though... she is very loving. She reaches out, leans in and gives hugs constantly. She does this to everyone she recognizes readily - especially me, Tom and the pugs... and Grandpa Chopper. Absolutely melts your heart.
