My new favorite way to spend Friday night - get home in time to watch Wheel & Jeopardy while eating dinner. And then veg for a few hours before going to bed early. Fabulous!!
First of all, something is wrong with our washing machine (maybe the belt broke?). So I had to truck all of our laundry to the laundromat on Saturday. Ugh. For anyone that must do this on a weekly basis, God help you. Lugging the heavy baskets was a chore and dealing with skeevy people staring at me and our "unmentionables" is just creepy.
On the plus side, we had a great Saturday night with my family at my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary party. Congrats Grammy & Pappy!! And we all went bowling afterwards. My cousin (Dustin - the little competitor) set us up in brackets so it was fun to battle it out.
The second fiasco - grocery trip to Walmart. It was packed & it was Terrible. People are so rude. Doesn't matter if you are pregnant either - they'll bang into your cart, cut in front of you, won't try to give you any space to get by in a crowded aisle and I was nearly backed into in the parking lot. I hate buying groceries on the weekend but unfortunately it's the only time I have during busy season.
But on the plus side, we spent Sunday afternoon/evening with Tom's family (visiting Gerry since she's been laid up with foot surgery). I made a fabulous lasagna and we had a good time catching up. It was also Kim and Big Tom's birthday this past week, so a little celebrating was deserved. Also played some Yahtzee! And I have two things to say about that - (1) girls rule and boys drool and (2) yes you can beat someone that has a Yahtzee and you don't.... Congrats on the win Kim!
